[our lobby tree, 2011]

ok, i’m ready to deck the halls, listen to some festive music*, wrap some gifts, and mull some cider. last year flew by at such a pace i felt like i scarcely got to enjoy it; this year i’m diving into the holiday spirit early and celebrating in perfect elf fashion.

we don’t have our tree up, but we did waltz into the lobby of a fancy hotel this afternoon, plop the kids (dressed in holiday dresses and shiny black shoes) on the floor, and take the cover photo of our christmas cards**.
