things i’m grateful for:

~ the sweet Irish wedding i’m shooting today in queens (group pictures on the beach! irish dancing before the reception! live music and an easygoing bride!)

~ good parking spaces

~ people that listen

~ autumn rain showers

~ baby carriers (i’m fond of the baby bjorn and the maya wrap) and super-sturdy carriages (that stokke grew on me pretty quickly)

~ four-day school weeks (no need to pack a lunch!)

~ the way emma, eliza, and bear ‘surprise’ me with flowers after all my big closing nights. this week i came home to find a beautiful bunch of yellow tea-roses…emma had proudly picked them out, thinking they were marigolds

~ fully charged batteries

~ little by little, finding a way to embrace my own lack of perfection and total fallibility

~ the light at the end of the tunnel
