even the most basic things refuse to be simple, easy, and/or breezy right now. everything is harder than it needs to be, more challenging than i anticipated, and just generally lacking. i’ve lived the ups and downs so long to know this is just the way it goes sometimes. still, it’s challenging. and frustrating.

fortunately, these very cute, amiable, and charming kiddos bring large gulps of fresh air and perspective. also: my mama’s coming for a visit next week.
