[five random things]

~ even though we’ve had a new picture frame on the piano for over a month now, the picture inside is still the “generic baby model” picture that came with the frame. several people that have come in during the past month have assumed it’s a picture of eliza and commented on how cute she is.

~ emma told me this morning that “fiesta” is the French word for party, and that we really need to have one.

~ these things are true: cold drinks taste best out of glass (not plastic, and definitely not paper), fountain drinks taste better than bottled soda, english chocolates taste better than amer’can chocolates, and children’s vitamins are infinitely more palatable than ones made for grown-ups (which explains the fact that as a kid, i used to sneak the flintstones vitamins as a snack, but now can hardly force down my daily “chewable centrum”)

~ we took the quilt off the bed last week with the intention of changing to new bedding, but i love this white coverless duvet (usually underneath the quilt) so much with it’s cloudlike softness, i haven’t bothered making the bed any further.

~ wearing a big straw sunhat makes a sticky humid day feel so much more bearable.
