happy monday. the grownups at Chez Jose are still a little poorly, but the kids are doing a-ok.

today i’m thankful for sweet smiles, a camera always-at-the-ready, being in walking distance to everywhere i want/need to go, fast-drying nail polish, people that come by for a visit, the 16-oz pyrex measuring cup, the sunlight that glows right up to bedtime at this time of year, windows of opportunity when i can take out the recyclables without the big kid noticing i’ve tossed half of her daily drawings and old schoolwork (clutter begone!), moments of inspiration, morning naps, making decisions, making plans, mickey mouse ears with my name embroidered on the back, an indiana team in the final four, and $1-off deals on diet coke.

the little things make life so much better.
