this week is almost finished (only two Messiah-sings, one funeral, two rehearsals, four more portraits, and that dreaded trip to the post office remain), and i’m exhausted but happy. we’ve been so busy this week that we’re only finding time to put a few ornaments on the tree each day…it’s actually kind of fun choosing a few favorites, placing them on the tree and seeing it come together bit by bit. my parents will be arriving sunday to a less-than-perfectly-tidy house and lots of unfinished projects, but i’m counting on the excitement of family visits and christmas/birthday spirit to hide all the dust bunnies and keep the smiles on our faces.
one more week until santa comes (i’ve been a very good girl this year); i can hardly wait!
xoxo
ps: speaking of dates, we set a baby-having day! if this little cub cooperates and keeps cooking according to schedule, look for a january 31, 2011 delivery. expect some major nesting and serious organizing starting 1/1/11…

Hi! Saw you in the list of people that inkalot? inkablog? (I just met her! Rats! What is her name???) that she likes. She takes adorable pictures, is from England, and hiked to the HOLLYWOOD sign on Saturday … a stone’s throw from where I was hiking! What a coincidence.
So I popped by and loved your posts and your pictures. How handy that you had the camera with you for your daughter’s performance. How amazing that your mother brought her own “kitchen” to prepare you and amazing crockpot meal. How delicious that you live by radio city hall and how WONDERFUL that you still know you are going to be a Rockette!~ I love it! I will be by again, no doubt. I hope that’s OK? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I loved the photos of Emma in the snow and the way you write. Very enjoyable. Great great pics. Wendy or you can just call me Wendster. Most of my friends do.
