thankful for a little time to stop and daydream. thankful for a little bit of a plan. thankful for several days of family time (emma said “wow mom…you’ve been in your pajamas all morning!”). thankful to be singing at lincoln center again this week. thankful for paint swatches and new color. thankful for our handyman and package porters. thankful for word games and brain teasers. thankful i found my favorite black sweater. thankful for moleskine notebooks and really smooth pens. thankful for holiday cards. thankful for christmas carols and that Vampire Weekend “Holiday” song they keep playing in commercials. thankful it’s almost december. thankful for breathing room. thankful for morning walks and afternoon naps. thankful for fingerless gloves and days that warm up in the middle. thankful for today.
