[9 happy things]

~ that moment when you figure out, without a doubt, the solution to a problem
~ successfully opening the lid of a super-tight jar
~ dusting the house and sitting down to admire the shiny, clean surfaces (in the 10 minutes before everything gets re-covered with a layer of cat hair, city-dust, and small fingerprints)
~ this picture of chelsea and her dad walking down the aisle…beautiful.
~ people that are really good storytellers
~ extra-blue skies with white fluffy clouds
~ plays by tennessee williams
~ songs by cole porter
~ the munchkin land scene in the wizard of oz

[3 rather annoying things]

~ coccyx pain (although it’s fun to spell coccyx, and it makes me giggle to say aloud)
~ unpacking. i swear our clothes in the suitcase and in the drawers keep multiplying and there’s no space for anything at all.
~ fairweather friends, disingenuous people, and presumptuousness (although that was a fun word to spell, too, so it’s not all bad…)

happy weekend, my friends. even in the midst of this months-long pregnancy nap/stupor, with work piling up around me and a kid that’s testing the boundaries/power-structure more than usual, i feel so charmed to have so many wonderful people and an abundance of beauty in my life. hope your day is sweet and sunny, with cotton-candy clouds. xoxo
