hope everyone’s having a lovely holiday.

i made it through the singing-stuff as well as possible, we had amazing christmas eve dinner (beef wellington, chocolate mousse, many glasses of bubbly beverage) with friends, santa arrived sometime in the night (emma said “how did he do it? i didn’t hear any reindeer!”) and left some gifts (a tent, flashlight, and much-requested alphabet-writing toy), we took a long afternoon nap and we’re slowly getting ready for the next leg of the holiday festivities.

13-ish hours of driving tomorrow as we start our tour of the Great Hoosier State. it’s kind of a very quick whilrwind of a trip this time, but we’re excited to see everyone and looking forward to the comforts of what still feels like home.
