happy tuesday, friends. this morning will be one of our quick dashes across the upper east side, as we go from modern dance class to school (with no time to stop for lunch, just peanut butter sandwiches in the stroller and then a safety-scrub of the face when we get there, so she doesn’t accidentally spread peanut-dust to the allergy-plagued), then home for ollie’s nap, quickly back to school to get emma, a stop at the playground, laundry, light groceries, and hopefully some time in between to get some non-mommy-related work done…

i’m still working on a mix tape, writing some letters, and need to research/order a new vacuum cleaner. but before the running and the chores take over, here’s a list:

The one in your breast pocket is for her.” and “Never under any circumstances ask a woman if she is pregnant.” and “Your best chance of being a rockstar is learning the bass.” and “Learn to pronounce French words correctly.” …makes me want to make some lists and manifestos of my own.

~ scrabble on the internet. i love that game, and it’s pretty fun to be able to play against friends/family that are hundreds of miles away (and Bear, while he’s at the office).

~ british spellings of words like behaviour, neighbour, and grey. i’d like to start a movement to bring English English back to Amer’ca!

~ this pretty little blouse (on sale for $22!)

~ these gloves, these boots, and this scarf
