this week was:
cap day at school, first day of modern dance, a visit from Dr. Weiner, back into the babysitting Ollie routine, baking madeleines and making waffles, three trips to the bookstore, dozens of trips to the playground, an impromptu stop at shake shack, our second family cold/cough of the season, and the week we officially started wearing jackets and boots every day. this was the week that emma started asking “is it fall now?” every single day, only so she could ask me to sing that “i’m falling for fall” song. she’s also started using spanish words as much as possible (she can thank Dora and our multi-lingual friends for that; my spanish isn’t much better than em’s), and i thought it was funny at the park when she kept pushing on the door to her imaginary ice-cream shop, saying “abre! abre!“. for a kid who didn’t really talk much until she was three, she sure is chatty.
charming, too.

A week full of awesome, apparently! The third to last one is my fave—those pink boots rock! Such a spunky little thing she is! I wish our playground had those painted on jumping feet–how cool!
