oh, adventure. on one hand, it’s only Pre-K. on the other hand, it’s five days a week. on one hand, it’s only half-days this year. on the other hand, from now through college she’ll be in school all year (full days start next year)…gone are the years of time belonging completely to us. we now officially share our days and schedule with school and lessons; we’re at the mercy of spring breaks and teacher conferences. on one hand, i’m feeling a bit misty about the whole thing. on the other hand, i’m excited (particularly after having met some really nice classmates and fellow class-parents) that this may well be her school through eighth grade.
oh, and did she love it? yes. very much yes.
. . .

[the after-school snack wasn't bad, either...]
. . .
after school, we had to go to the doctor’s office to deal with those infected mosquito bites (a lingering souvenir from our trip to the midwest)
but DON’T worry!
…we still managed to laugh our way through the day.
