[30 things in 30 days] thing eleven: a carefully crafted sign
normally that misspelling of “pendant” would bug me to no end, but in this instance, at this street-vendor’s table, it makes me smile. it feels sincere, like you can feel the time and pride put into making the sign, looking forward to a summer of hustling jewelry in the heat… i think it’s lovely.

[30 things in 30 days] thing twelve: colorful metal bracelets
i bought the three red/orange ones in the middle. they made a little “clink” sound when they hit against each other. i like it.

[30 things in 30 days] thing thirteen: creative use of graffiti
our nearest fruit stand is around the corner, in front of the “everything 99-cents (or less)” store, the always-ridiculously-crowded-because-the-aisles-are-tiny grocery, and the shady-looking 24-hour laundry. ever since the fruit vendor had his truck painted/tagged, the block’s been just a little more vibrant. i wonder if it’s had a subtle impact on sales?
