earlier this week, mum sent me a copy of “Annie Liebovitz at Work” which i’d been eager to read since she blogged about it. such a sweet surprise, and such a good book. actually, i’ve had my nose in a book as much as possible this summer:

[my reading list, summer 2009. too bad it's not like the old library reading program where you get prizes for every book...]
. . .
if ‘summer’ is defined as that long period before school starts, then we’ve got about thirty more days of summer vacation. after the thirty days, we’re taking a road-trip to Sunny Southern Indiana, then school, gymnastics & swimming start for emma on the calendar day after Sept. 10 (i’d prefer not to type the date here, although it will be nice to associate it with something as sweetly anticipated as wearing new backpacks and meeting new classmates). in honor of the last days of summer ’09, and in the interest of appreciating the little things, i’m going to post “30 things in 30 days”….30 pictures of things i like, things i see, and things – other than my kid – that my camera has taken as treasure.
feel free to join in the 30-things, too.

Immediately, I looked for the “fave this” star and found none.

great choices in there, i’m working on a couple of those same ones myself at the moment (Understanding Exposure and just finished Prep). Also, even if you were solely reading Infinite Jest, it alone takes up quite a bit of time. such a great read, though, if you can struggle through it. It took me 3 months BEFORE I had Hannah.
