lots more to do today (packing, playlist-ing, making road-trip cookies, etc…), but i refuse to stress. it’s a vacation, we need a vacation, and we’re pretty lucky to be having a vacation, so i’m just gonna smile. the drive is about 17 hours from here (we’ll split it over two days) and we have enough snacks and drinks to get us there and back. emma’s so excited she’s been wearing various swimsuits around the house all afternoon (did i mention it snowed all morning? happy spring from nyc!).

~ living in the age of the GPS device, where we can get in the car, type in a destination, and just start driving

~ sitting by the window on a bright sunny day
