we had our first no-jacket-needed sunny playground day this week. em had school in the morning, then a group of about 10 of her classmates (with parents and nannies in tow) headed to the park for some running, climbing and lunch. (did you know that the pizza place will deliver to “the entrance to the Carl Schurz playground”?) i can’t tell you how much we needed this little bit of sunshine, but i can tell you that the person that decided that the park bathrooms aren’t open until the official beginning of spring never had to deal with a desperate mob of juicebox drinking, potty-training preschoolers.
