the good:
a lovely weekend, a long looooong walk through and across the park, watching the old-school roller skaters dance to the music, seeing that awesome little juggler/unicycler/budding street performer who couldn’t have been older than 10, finally getting some in-focus pictures at the LOVE statue, a spicy bloody mary with brunch, magnolia cupcakes, running into people we know, buying a new book, starting rehearsals for a new opera this week, dancing around the house in legwarmers and pigtails, the kid finally had a no-accident/no-diaper/big-potty-day, planning our trip to Disney World…

the bad:
dealing with several illnesses that demand to be addressed, feeling old and haggard every time i look in the mirror, needing more restful sleep, getting behind in my work, getting nervous about the future, feeling left out, feeling blue, feeling dull, getting called for jury duty for the third time in a year even though my doctor wrote an excuse letter AND the law says i am exempt until emma is six

the unknown:
thinking about getting my hair cut, but wondering if (as with every haircut i’ve gotten in the last 15 years) i’ll just regret it and grow it out long again, wanting to package and market my voice-over demo but really timid and clueless where to start, wishing i knew how to carve time and energy for my photography business, hoping i got the taxes right on the second draft (the one with the happy state and federal refunds) and not on the first draft (wherein we would get a federal refund but owe $1500 to the state…) and hoping the third draft i’m doing tomorrow settles the score.
