i had things to write today, but time and energy have both been unceremoniously sucked away by Time Warner Cable and the hours i have spent “troubleshooting” our lost internet connection since 1:00 this afternoon (not coincidentally the time the Time Warner tech left after installing our new HD boxes….). as it stands now, i’ve exactly 13 minutes until i have to leave for Klinghoffer rehearsal. (it’s beautiful music, by the way. performance next week at Juilliard; you might want to catch it if you’re in town…)

mostly pictures today, mostly as an illustration of the so-almost-three-years-old fashion sense i’m loving in emma right now. constant stuffed-animal companions (here a little horse named Bandana and a little dog named Romeo), binoculars (which she calls “birdwatchers”), a hat that’s two-sizes too big (but cute), a belt around her t-shirt (or on her head)… one of my favorite moments this week was when she greeted me wearing only a t-shirt, one glove and a pair of sunglasses and said “whew, mom! it’s HOT!!” …it was 20-degrees outside.

okeydokeysmokey, we’ve gotta run. Aunt Donna, if you’re reading this, i hope you’re recovering well. i’m so relieved to know you’re (mostly) ok, but i know too well car accidents are rattling on the outside and inside, and i hope everything’s back to ‘normal’ soon. xoxo
