enjoying a snowy night tucked in bed, getting ready to watch The Sting on our new bedroom tv & dvd player with my darlin’, sipping a glass of wine and a diet dr. pepper, looking through pictures from christmas and beyond. it was warm and comfortable having dear, sweet, infectiously-French Sophie-Marie here (my roommate from college who i hadn’t seen in 14 years), and i’m reveling in the comforts of friendship and love, so grateful for the good people in my life, people that love me back as much as i love them. i bought a perfect long black concert dress today (money i didn’t intend to spend, but a fit and sale i knew i’d regret passing up), learned to make crepes last night, and am going to the Big Apple Circus tomorrow.
sweet little things make me happy.

i’ll bet your accent is very confusing now. emma is lovely. the sting is the greatest…not the first time you’ve seen it, is it? if it is, i’m jealous.

oh, ha! my accent is a hilarious mix of Sophie’s Quebec-French, the recently-fortified Southern Indiana drawl, and my usual sprinkling of Affected-British vowels and forced consonants.
it was indeed the first time i’ve seen The Sting. Perfection!!! thank goodness i’ve got the good Scott Joplin book here.
